Along with its cutely designed graphics over the animated animals on the background, the lush scenery, the varying difficulty over the challenges, and new tweaks on the power-ups, the game can promptly provide an entertaining getaway break that could easily pass the time really quick.
Bubble Friends Story shares much of its mechanics with the lot of other bubble shooter titles. In the game, you are tasked to shoot colored fruit spheres at a hanging collection of randomly stacked fruit spheres in an attempt to drop and collect a lot of them with the wooden buckets at the bottom of the screen. To get you started in the game, you will have to match-up at least three or more spheres of the same color in order to clear them from playing field and strategically isolating the larger group of spheres to drop on the buckets to meet the level’s objectives. The key is to collect more spheres by dropping them over the buckets rather than clearing them from simply matching.
Every stage also has a limited pool of fruit spheres, their number suggests the maximum moves you are given in order to clear the stage. When they run out and the screen is not yet clear of the bubbles, you will be prompted to a bubble purchase screen to buy you more moves to take or the option to let it pass and fail the level altogether. Failing to solve the level objectives will then penalize you with one movement point that will be restored in a few minutes time as a penalty. A total of 5 points (hearts) are initially given at the start of the game and each failure of attempt to solve the level shall deduct one point at a time. Losing all of the hearts would render you out of moves to make until you wait for the hearts to restore or by simply purchasing them via micro-transaction.
The game also sports a few elements relatively new on bubble shooter games like the option to instantly purchase a specific sphere in the middle of the game and the several varieties of elixirs and power bubbles that are purchasable prior to playing the game to give you an edge over clearing the level.
As you move through the levels, so will their difficulty heightens. More bubbles will be introduced on screen, become more randomly stacked and arranged, and the less moves you get in order to clear the level objectives.
To put everything into contrast, the game manages to provide several grabbing elements to make the game easily entertaining and fun to play. Although it failed to provide an accompanying story, the main strength of the game comes from the outright available challenge without having you committed over a backing story to play through. The turn key solution it provides should easily get you started on the challenges and pretty hooked on the game. Bubble Friends Story Summary
