Happy Home - Design & Décor is a match 3 puzzle game with the main goal of home building and interior decorating. In the game, you play as a designer in a professional interior decorating team together with Michael, the constructor and his trusty canine partner, Sparky. Your jobs are to assist wealthy clients to redecorate their houses to make them more elegant and comfortable to live in.
To start off, you will be required to challenge a plethora of match 3 levels to earn coins which are necessary to purchase all manner of furniture and décor. As with other match-3 puzzle games, the primary concept of the game is the same, that is to match at least 3 identical items together in a line to remove them from the board. Each stage will have a specific goal that you must reach within a limited number of moves to clear the stage.
By matching 4 identical items in a line, you will be given a Bomb booster of the item that you have just matched. Matching a Bomb booster will cause a small explosion that clears an area of items from the board. You can trigger multiple Bomb boosters together when you match them side by side.
Putting together a group of 5 identical items in a T or L shape creates a Cross booster. Cross boosters are especially useful as they clear out items in all four directions from the point of origin, removing an entire row and column in the process. When the effects of a Cross booster comes into contact with another Cross booster, the second booster will also be activated to clear even more items in one shot.
When you clear 5 identical items in the same line, you will be awarded the Blaster booster. These boosters are incredibly powerful dynamites with a huge blast radius and matching them will trigger an explosion capable of taking out items in a large portion of the board. Any other boosters caught by the blast will also be triggered automatically, making for a remarkable display of fireworks.
Keep activating boosters and you will eventually fill up the Brolly. Once the meter is full, a Brolly will be placed into the board. Match the Brolly with any items beside it to remove all of the same items across the board.
Once you have cleared some match 3 stages, you will have earned enough coins to buy some of the furniture to decorate your client’s house. Head on over to the Shop and choose the furniture or décor that you would like to buy, select the design that you prefer, and choose where you want to set it down in the house. You can also edit the pattern and colors of the floor and wallpaper in the house to the way you want it.
As you progress further in the game, you will also be able to buy and set up exterior decors as well. Find out more about the different backstories for each of the unique clients you meet throughout the game.
