At the onset, you’ll begin your dessert crafting journey as you get acquainted with a patisserie – teaching you the core basics of the game in the first few minutes. Sequenced tutorials are handed down in the form step-by-step procedures to inform even the newest of match 3 game participants.

In Yummy Story, help items include purchasable power-ups in the form of additional moves per level, a randomly placed rainbow cake upon starting the game, or having 2 power tiles at the very start of the game. To help you even further, matching 4 or more of the same kind of dessert item (tiles) will produce a gleaming version of that tile, that when successfully matched, blows out an entire row or column of tiles in the playing field. Matching 5 tiles however, produces a rainbow colored cake that can be swapped to any tile adjacent to it, and shall obtain all of the similar tiles to that swapped tile currently present on the field. Interestingly, matching two power tiles, or a rainbow cake with a power tile - offers much more destruction and points in the playing field.
The game is also furnished with its own movement penalty system in the form of hearts. Whenever you fail to turn-over the level objectives, you will be penalized one move point / heart at a time. You are initially given 5 hearts (or attempts) and every failure shall correspond to a point deduction, which will then be recovered at a set penalty duration. There is the option though to quickly restore the movement points purchasing it via micro-transaction.
